It&#8217;s not. Nor is any business &#8230; Anyone who says different is not being wholly honest.<br \/>\nI find that to be a shame. Not easy but doable. Time directly impacts<br \/>\nyour efficiency. And that&#8217;s even if you have someone else do your Marketing for you.<br \/>\nEffort is entirely controllable by the individual &#8230; and directly impacts your effectiveness.<br \/>\nMoney is self limiting and directly affects both efficiency and effectiveness. An individual<br \/>\nmust find the best combination of the three that works for them. Someone else<br \/>\ncan&#8217;t tell you what that combination is, but can maybe help you find it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Businesses today face a daunting task, (and competition), when it comes to &#8220;Marketing&#8221;&#8230;<br \/>\nFinding that &#8220;best combination&#8221; of time, effort and money is a growth experience. Rarely<br \/>\nwill it just appear. Education (self &amp; provided) plus mentoring (if available) are important<br \/>\nfactors and hopefully a fact of life. However, successful Marketing is not impossible.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">In my mind, Marketing is whatever method you choose to &#8220;reach&#8221; people. It might be the<br \/>\ntraditional newspaper ad, or postcard, or the simple greeting and sharing with a friend.<br \/>\nHow you &#8220;Market&#8221; or &#8220;share&#8221; can take many forms.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\">There are many methods that help and work.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s a matter of finding those that work for you.<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">For example:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em><strong>Blogging<\/strong><\/em><\/span> is an excellent method. It requires time &amp; effort. The benefits include increased<br \/>\nlink popularity for the url used, (important for search engine ranking), branding, and reach.<br \/>\nPlus, it can be viral. Often your blog is archived or saved by viewers &#8230; available well after<br \/>\nit was originally offered. Plus viewers may often &#8220;contact you&#8221; because of your expertise &#8230;<br \/>\nagain, well after you originally submitted it. Sometimes a year later in many cases.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Business cards<\/span><\/strong><\/em> are always a good method &#8230; and more inexpensive than one realizes.<br \/>\nYou can even make your own. Just pass them out like candy &#8230; stores, church, ball games,<br \/>\nlocal events, restaurants (leave 1 with your bill), businesses you frequent, networking<br \/>\nmeetings, local Chamber Of Commerce. The possibilities are only limited by your<br \/>\nimagination. And today, some are digital. All you need is your cell phone, then share.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Flyers, posters, post cards, brochures, etc.<\/span><\/strong><\/em> can also be done very inexpensively.<br \/>\nYou can make your own on your PC or purchase custom or ready made ones from<br \/>\nnumerous online providers. You could even strike up a joint venture with a local<br \/>\ncommunity provider. They print it for you and include their &#8220;advertisement&#8221; somewhere &#8230;<br \/>\nyou distribute. You both win, you pay less, and maybe influence that partner to be<br \/>\ninvolved in your business.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Web decals on your vehicle(s)<\/span><\/strong><\/em> is another inexpensive method. Some have one on<br \/>\ntheir car or truck (back window) with a short &#8220;catch line&#8221; and maybe a URL.<br \/>\nVisibly, it could be priceless.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Newspaper\/magazine ads<\/span><\/strong><\/em> can be found that aren&#8217;t going to cost an arm and a leg.<br \/>\nLocal publications are a good place to start. There are excellent sources locally online.<br \/>\nBut, for those in tune with everything and all &#8220;digital&#8221;, you can reach a lot more people<br \/>\nin a short amount of time with that.<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">These are just a few examples.<\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Of course there are the traditional ways, lead programs, magazines, radio, have a wonderful<br \/>\nstore, the &#8220;3 foot rule&#8221;, etc. Most of these will cost you money &#8230; all will cost you time &amp; effort.<br \/>\nBut, it&#8217;s the Digital marketing world, that has taken Marketing to a new place. You should think<br \/>\nabout getting in the game if you haven&#8217;t already. Your competition probably is, and that is a<br \/>\nvery unfair advantage over you.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The key, I believe, is in being creative and sticking to what best fits your time, effort, and<br \/>\nmoney combination. It is and should be a personal choice. If the dollar &#8220;cost&#8221; doesn&#8217;t give you<br \/>\nthe dollar &#8220;value&#8221; in your own mind, then keep looking, and keep asking. Don&#8217;t EVER stop.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Plus &#8230; diversify. Use multiple methods. Why limit yourself to just &#8220;one path&#8221;?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">We don&#8217;t just help those willing to spend $1,000&#8217;s &#8230; We help a modest amount of<br \/>\nbusinesses and professionals who are interested in growing their business or brand<br \/>\nany way they can. Don&#8217;t be mislead with false expectations or be pressured into<br \/>\nuncomfortable actions or just winging it with a bunch of fancy expensive bundled<br \/>\nproducts or services. Learn or discover solutions that best fit your budget,<br \/>\nyour expectations and your abilities in your chosen business.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">It is simple, but it isn&#8217;t easy &#8230; I think that captures it pretty well &#8230; That&#8217;s the message.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s not hard to understand &#8230; It can be fun, but it does take some effort and some time.<br \/>\nIn Marketing your business or brand, please don&#8217;t think you can sit on the couch with<br \/>\nbeer &amp; potato chips watching your favorite TV shows or sport events, though &#8230; the money<br \/>\ncan&#8217;t roll in all by itself. You have to be involved, whether you are doing it, or someone else is.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>In my mind (OK&#8230;my opinion), that&#8217;s the message you should receive from a <\/strong><\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Marketing Consultant.
