Search Engine Optimization<\/a><\/span><\/strong> (SEO) is very important, and is actually not as hard
\nas it sounds. When you create pages for your website, taking the time to optimize
\nthem will greatly increase your chances for receiving natural organic search engine
\ntraffic. Surprisingly, most people don’t bother with SEO, giving a huge advantage to
\nthose that do.<\/p>\n

Here are a few important things to keep in mind:<\/p>\n

Pay Attention To Keyword Density<\/span><\/h3>\n


\n<\/span>It is helpful to make sure you are using your main keywords a certain
\namount of times throughout your content. Make sure you know, though,
\nyou don’t want to use the keywords too much, or too little. It will alert the
\nsearch algorithms in a negative way.<\/p>\n

Emphasize Important Keywords<\/span><\/h3>\n

Emphasize important keywords with bold, italics, and underlining.
\nWhen creating your pages, you can usually use simple HTML tags
\nto emphasize your main keywords.<\/p>\n

Header Tags<\/span><\/h3>\n

A header tag<\/a><\/span><\/strong> is a part of your page where the font is larger, and is
\nreserved for the most important text on the page. There are actually
\ndifferent levels of headings, 1-5. I typically use h2 when emphasizing
\nmy keywords (the larger the number, the smaller the text will be)<\/p>\n

Utilize Related Keywords<\/span><\/h3>\n

When creating your content, try to use a lot of related keywords.
\nThis means that if you are talking about dog training, you will also be
\nusing keywords like dog collar, dog leash, dog obedience, and more.
\nThis is typically done naturally as you write your content, but I wanted
\nto point out here. Sometimes people really try to focus completely on
\none keyword, and having diversity in your page and including other
\nrelated keywords<\/a><\/strong><\/span> seems to help in the search engines.<\/p>\n

Utilize Anchor Text Properly<\/span><\/h3>\n

When you are linking to your website, a capture page, or a sales page
\nof any kind, make sure that you are making good use of the anchor text
\nin the link. By “anchor text”<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, I am referring to the words that show up as
\nthe clickable link your viewers see. An example of good anchor text would
\nbe: “Dog Training Tips” . \u00a0A bad use of anchor text would be one that does
\nnot include the keywords we are optimizing for, such as “Click Here For
\nMore Information”.<\/p>\n
