Build A List, Build Your Business Or Brand
We are IMJustice Marketing, and an Online Digital Marketing Consultant and Strategist.
Our first website was created January of 2008, began building our first list even before that,
and made our first sale that March. We very quickly fell in love with the concept of creating
and selling Digital Marketing services. Once we had learned enough to feel like experts,
we had no real effective ways to actually “distribute” these services.
As time progressed in our learning of Digital Content Marketing, we realized
how important List Building really was, and then became an avid student of it,
creating several targeted lists that yielded very consistent profits.
When we were doing research and learning the List Building ropes, we were frustrated by the
lack of concise information online. Much of what we learned and performed, we learned one
item at a time, gathering the information from multiple sources. In short, our original List Building
experiences could have been much more effective and become profitable faster if we had had
access to all the information that is available today, in one place, rather than having to hunt it down.
First, why build a list or lists? Over the course of the last 10 years or so, people have developed
products to sell online and have created fortunes targeting the right people to whom to sell.
By creating products or providing services and using exciting sales or squeeze pages, you can
drive visitors to your offers, convert a percentage of them, and make more money than ever.
With high-speed internet, the average surfer moves through sites much faster, decreasing
the conversion rate of the sales page for quick visitors. Even in the traditional sales world,
experts tell us that it takes a potential buyer from 7 to 10 exposures before they purchase.
So how do you improve on that? Obviously one method would be to continue to drive
surfers to your sites, hoping that once they have seen your ads enough, they will eventually
purchase. However, you generally may pay a price for each visitor that comes to your website.
So what if you were to capture the name and email address of each of your visitors,
and then send them a friendly reminder to re-visit your sites, perhaps daily or weekly,
thus giving them the chance to engage with you and make a request or a purchase?
So that is exactly what you do.
You design your web sites, blogs, and posting content in such a fashion that visitors are
compelled to give you the needed information, and you begin to develop a relationship
with them. Every few days or so you email them an informative letter, giving them
another compelling reason to revisit your site. And the reasons to become a client.
This is List Building, and it should be a part of your overall Marketing strategy.
